A brand new electrical safety tester for portable appliance testing (PAT), Apollo 600, is coming to the market. The invaluable tool for PAT testing will feature risk assessment tools in order to comply with the latest Code of Practice.

Intersafe, which carries out PAT testing for clients such as American Express, Waitrose, Sunseeker and the University of Brighton, is welcoming the news as it plans to use the new tool to ensure its clients benefit from the very best service and equipment.

Apollo 600 has been designed to meet all the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive and the 4th edition of the IET Code of practice. The product will allow Intersafe’s PAT testing engineers to have photographic and other visual evidences of failures as well as the risk assessment tools.

The new PAT tester features an electrical risk assessment tool which calculates the best retest period based on risk severity and probability. It also incorporates a full suite of electrical appliance tests and PATGuard 3 Health and Safety Edition software to allow full traceability of the results.

This new device is an extra guarantee that risk assessments are carried out and followed up correctly as it also stores the results against sites, locations and assets.
